You’d never know it but it poured at this May wedding. But guess what? We still had fun.

Cool wedding planning resources I made

My first 2026 wedding is next month.

I’m using this template to send the final timeline to vendors and VIPs and I’m using these guidelines to run a successful rehearsal.

Speaking of wedding day timelines, these are the ways people most often mess them up.

Three words: Not enough buffer.

Flashback: How I took parental leave.

When I was pregnant a couple of years ago, I couldn’t find a lot of examples on how to take parental leave as a small business owner in the wedding industry so I wrote about how I did it.

My 190th review is a really nice one.

I recently reconnected with Setting the Table, the vendor behind this antique china and glassware. It’s worth checking out her full catalog.

Want something different for your wedding?

Give this live illustrator and this candlemaker a gander. I recently met both at one of the vendor meet-ups I host and I liked what they offered.

Love unexpectedly fun wedding ideas? I made this list a couple of years ago.

There’s a cool group in the UK called the Sustainable Wedding Alliance.

Here’s the founder talking about her work to make weddings more sustainable. I also recommend their client-facing website.

I mean, are we surprised?

Psst — Per my code of conduct, I don’t take kickbacks or other things of value for my referrals.

Wedding vendors, this is for you

I’m taking a summer break from hosting quarterly wedding vendor meet-ups; I plan to be back in the fall. In the meantime, here’s the line-up with one in Portland thanks to another host + a few in Seattle.

The monthly vendor newsletter I edit will continue as normal. Get a sense of it by reading the archives.
