Wedding Vendors, Here’s How to Check In With Your 2022 Clients

This story was originally published on February 8, 2021, and last updated on January 19, 2022.

If you are a wedding vendor working during the COVID-19 pandemic, you might be wondering what to expect when you go to work. Will the wedding abide by local laws? Will people be masked? Do you need to provide proof of vaccination and/or proof of a negative COVID test?

These are excellent questions. Unfortunately, in my experience as a wedding planner, couples are rarely proactively sharing the boundaries of the event they are hosting.

I encourage couples to do this by making what I call a COVID safety policy but if your couples haven’t done that or you need answers sooner rather than later, use this template to check in with your clients.

Note that this template is you asking the couple what their boundaries are. It is NOT you sharing what your boundaries are. I’m working on resources related to that; if you’re interested in getting those resources when they’re live, please subscribe to my newsletter.
